What can I do about a kitten infection?

So my kitten is about 4 months old now and been fixed early this morning I noticed her butt hole ( sorry idk what else to say) is oozing a clear cream like substance, I have been cleaning it with water and a soft paper towel and it stopped for a few hours. I checked her just before going to bed and now it seems worse. I do plan on taking her to the vet but is there any thing I can do for now to try and help it?
