Why is the number 13 following me wherever I go?

When I was a teenager, I dabbled in the occult a little. I don't anymore, but during this time I started noticing strange occurrences in my life based on the number 13. For years now, it seems that the number 13 has been following me, haunting me wherever I go and whatever I do. I will go to a store and by a few items, somehow the amount magically comes to $13.13. I'll glance at a clock and it will be something 13. I'll go to a meeting, and it will be in suite 13 on the 13th floor. I'll pull into a parking place and then realize it is #13. Sometimes this almost becomes laughable, and it happens to me almost every day. It sounds ridiculous, but it's almost like the #13 is stalking me or something. Does anyone else have this happen to them? and does anyone know what this could possibly mean?
