Trying to remember name of time travel film?

Hi. My wife and I are trying to remember the name of a film that was made ages ago, and featured a man who travelled forwards to the future, where he finds women being terrorised by some green ogre-like things that kidnap them and take them underground. Neither of us can remember what it's called. Can anyone help? Sorry for the lack of detail-that's all either of us can remember.
