Im having lower torso pains?

For the past couple days I have been having cramps in my sides lower back and lower stomach. It feels like im about to start my period but I know I shouldn't start for another week or so. I took excedrin and that seemed to help for a little while. It isn't painful its just uncomfortable and I was hoping that someone knew what was wrong or if this is a normal occurrence.
